Logging
Structured log files will be added in Tech Preview 2.
Starting with the Tech Preview 2 release, jetp will emit structured JSON logs to /var/log/jetp/jetp.log if the location is writeable. Jetp will not create this location or warn if it is not writeable.
Log rotation with logrotate is strongly recommended as these logs can be particularly large especially when configuring a large number of hosts, processing complex configurations, or running very many builds that all rely on jetp.
From here, logfiles can be sent to various log aggregrators. This feature will be particularly helpful for using both delegation and planetary scale modes.
More information about tips for aggregration of logs will be shared once the feature is released!
